Twilight Symmetry Intervention

2017

Bass-Frequency Sine Waves | ca. 60 Minutes

World Premiere: Rational Time | Wild Project Gallery, New York City - September 5th, 2017

An installation where anything else may be happening, this work is intended not to be heard, but felt; to be perceived as a shift in energy rather than an enveloping sound. A disturbance in the room the settles briefly at the moment of sunset, Twilight Symmetry Intervention marks the period of civil twilight in the city in which it is installed. On the edge of audibility a pair of deep sine waves slowly become apparent as their just intuned vibrations shift and change.
